Christmas Chaos XIV: Grand Finals Results

The time has come once more to bid farewell to another captivating Christmas Chaos tournament. Numerous intense battles from various armies aiming for the trophy took place. Two proceeded to the Grand Finals and only one came out on top.

The two armies left standing were none other than Doritos of Club Penguin and the Rebel Penguin Federation. The Grand Finals consisted of two highly respected armies in the community with differing strengths. DCP, a newly revived force, took over the Top Ten week after week as well as winning several battles against allies and opponents since their return. RPF, on the other hand, is a consistently strong army with an outstanding battle history and many trophies to their name. The army community displayed a variety of opinions as to who might have been crowned as the Christmas Chaos XIV champions. The answer to this came to light on Saturday, December 21st.

Doritos of Club Penguin vs. Rebel Penguin Federation

The rooms in rotation for this battle were the Mine, followed by the Iceberg and Docks. Upon entering the first room, RPF attained an advantage with initial sizes of 62-51. The gap grew larger throughout the room, with the most significant size difference being 74 to 39 in favor of the Rebels. This notably gave RPF the upper hand, maintaining more than thirty troops in the room than DCP.

In addition, the judges described RPF utilizing their size to its utmost potential, assembling forms that could showcase their strength in numbers such as an infinity form. This also caused DCP to become overshadowed by the majority of the room, although the judges observed DCP covering the Rebels at times. Overall, the judge’s summary describes RPF as the neater army with more creative forms. Moreover, the Rebels used their size well and covered Doritos heavily. It was decided that these factors handed RPF a win in the Mines.

DCP VS. RPF – Inside Mines

The Iceberg saw a similar pattern to the first room. Once again, the Rebels possessed a drastic advantage in size over DCP. The judges perceived RPF to be neater than the two battling parties. However, both armies lacked creativity this time around as they seemed to recycle previously used formations. Due to DCP struggling to secure coverage and appearing to lose confidence, RPF emerged victorious in the second room.

Following a comparable fashion to the prior rooms, RPF retained their numbers and held their advantage through to the end. As a result, this allowed for much more intricate formations such as a star, while covering DCP. Nevertheless, Doritos presented a well-constructed Z form which judges outlined as DCP’s best form. Despite this, it was too late by this point to turn the tables. RPF were declared the victors in the Docks, winning all three rooms and ultimately becoming the Christmas Chaos XIV champions.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Rebel Commander Link3000 to receive some insight into their perspective of the tournament.

What does this victory mean to the Rebel Penguin Federation?

This victory was wanted by so many people. We hadn’t won a tournament in a year, and we’ve lost to the finals 3 times in a row. Everyone was just tired of losing so this victory means a lot. Even if RPF has been doing pretty well this year despite lack of tournament wins, I think that this has brought the community closer together, almost like a newer chapter.

What do you think was the most critical element to pull this off?

I think constant hype and recruiting were the key elements. We couldn’t get complacent especially knowing how much DCP maxes.

Can you name one thing you have learned from this tournament that you will take into next year’s CC?

I learnt to learn from the past but not let past mistakes define me aka previous tournament mistakes. And that community is the most important thing. Even if we had lost, the level of togetherness I saw during this past week was amazing and I knew rpf would have been fine regardless.

Do you think you could have performed better in any way? How?

In hindsight I would have chosen different formations in the rooms I lead, knowing now what the rooms were if that makes sense. According to judges, it didn’t look like this was much of an issue but I know it could have been better.

What kept you motivated throughout this tournament?

Like mentioned earlier, losing 3 times in a row at the finals plus losing at the finals last legends cup was tough. And I knew a lot of my current staff joined this past year and they had never seen us win a tournament. So I wanted to give everyone a long overdue and well deserved win especially for all the time and effort they put into rpf.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Great battle from DCP. Coming from revival, their numbers are impressive and I don’t think anyone can deny that. It was an amazing tourney with many twists and I enjoyed it a lot.

In conclusion, it seems the Rebels had been longing for a tournament victory for some time. Their hard work and dedication over this period earned them the Christmas Chaos XIV trophy after emerging from the challenging yet enjoyable Grand Finals against Doritos. Both armies performed well, giving it their all this season.

Club Penguin Armies would like to congratulate the Rebel Penguin Federation on winning the Christmas Chaos XIV tournament, as well as Doritos of Club Penguin for their valiant effort in this thrilling finale.

Lastly, thank you to Club Penguin Army Judges and Club Penguin Army Battleground for making this tournament possible! Did you predict these results?  Who do you think will win the next Christmas Chaos tournament?

  1. […] The Doritos of Club Penguin were crushed to dust by the Rebels, who triumphed effortlessly and ate up the competition during the Christmas Chaos XIV Grand Finals. Through weeks of diligent training, the Rebels surpassed their opponent marvelously, and swept up the crumbs by winning all three rooms. Throughout the tournament, they also battled against the Bastille Vanguards and the Aliens, coming out victorious against all three armies. Thank you to the over 86 Rebels who chipped in for the Grand Finals, and joined the battlefield to fight the good fight! Check out the official Club Penguin Armies post. […]
