Parties have always been an important part of the game. They kept the community active and let players discover special clothing, stamps, and pins. The Island transformed into a place of even more fun and gave a sense of adventure. Players eagerly anticipated the parties to find new areas of the island, collect unique items, and make new friends along the way.

Over the years, Club Penguin has hosted a total of 13 November parties. Each had its own special theme that engaged with penguins and allowed them to have new experiences in the game. Unique decorations would be all across the Island with new quests for players to complete, leading these parties to be a highly anticipated part of each year.

Now, let us rank the top 5 November parties, and see what legacy they have left on Club Penguin.

5. 2010: Sensei’s Water Scavenger Hunt

2010’s November party lasted from November 16 to November 24. This year introduced a scavenger hunt themed around water, leading up to the release of Card Jitsu Water. Similarly to Sensei’s Fire Scavenger Hunt in 2009, this party saw penguins searching the flooded island for items using clever clues. This quest allowed players to collaborate, helping each other decipher the hidden locations of each item. This party gave players two free items, the Bucket Hat, and the Water Tank Background, and the opportunity to meet Sensei! This party sent players on an aquatic adventure and did a great job raising hype for the release of Card Jitsu Water.

4. 2008: Dig Out the Dojo

2008 introduced the Dig Out the Dojo party, starting from November 3 to November 14. This party was based on rebuilding the Dojo which was destroyed during The Great Storm of 2008. This party was special in that it had three stages. First, the outdoor renovation, where penguins contributed to clearing the snow covering the building. After that was the indoor renovation, which teased the release of Card Jitsu on November 17. Lastly, the third and final stage was the Grand Re-Opening. This allowed players to play the now-famous minigame, Card Jitsu, and see the progress of the Dojo being rebuilt. During construction, players received the free Miner’s Helmet. As a reward for rebuilding the Dojo, players could also claim the Geta Sandals. Overall, this was a nice and fun event for the year 2008.

3. 2006: Color Party

Club Penguin’s 2006 November party was the Color Party, which lasted from November 24 to November 27. This party was based on the color Lime Green winning a vote in Issue 57 of the Penguin Times against Lavender, becoming the game’s newest penguin color. This was a party held exclusively for members inside the Dojo where it ended up being covered in the new color. Members could obtain two free items during the part, Lime Green, and the Lime Green Cape. Following the party, Lime Green became available to all players. In 2009, Club Penguin released a new book in-game based on this event, called Lime Green Dojo Clean. This party has a long-lasting legacy, as it encouraged penguins to have their say on future items, with Lime Green winning with only 52.1% of the vote, and continued to be remembered for years to come.

2. 2016: Music Jam

Music Jam was hosted on November 2 and ended on November 30, 2016. As the name suggests, this party was centred around fun music events. During the party, many parts of the island were redecorated, and players could explore several new rooms, such as the Casa Fiesta, and the Main Stage. Everyone could gain the Miner’s Helmet during the party, and a variety of Pins, and the lucky ones who met Cadence and the Penguin Band would receive exclusive backgrounds. Members could claim a plethora of Music Jam merch for their penguins. Every single room was beautiful and captured the hearts of every music lover. It was a great event in Club Penguin’s history, especially as it was the final Music Jam.

1. 2005: Great Puffle Discovery

In 2005, Club Penguin opened its door to the public. One of their first parties was the Great Puffle Discovery which started on November 15 and ended on December 14. This introduced the famous creatures called Puffles which started as unknown, but now exist as beloved pets. The party’s storyline was explored through the Penguin Times, which shared new information on the puffles, even hosting a competition to name them. The event was small in scale, as players searched the island to catch a glimpse of the new creatures, but was rich in its legacy. They gave a sense of creativity to the players, and new colors and variations of the well-loved puffles continued coming out. This is an iconic party which introduced one of the game’s most core features.
