Welcome to This Day In History, a column that links today with the past, reminiscing upon significant events on this date in previous years. In this edition, we go back eight years to the Champions Cup V finals. As the battles were carried out, a multilogging scandal was unearthed.
On November 27, 2016, the army community witnessed the finals of the Champions Cup V tournament, hosted by Club Penguin Army Central. Two armies notorious for their dominance in the community prepared for the battle. The tournament’s finals featured the Rebel Penguin Federation against the Night Rebels, a greatly anticipated conflict between top armies at the time.
CP Army Central introduced the Champions Cup as a spring tournament in March 2012. Inspired by the famous “Champions League”, armies were divided into groups of four, then competing on a point-based system. The fifth Champions Cup was no different, where they applied the “seed” concept of weekly top ten army placements to determine group allocations.
As the tournament proceeded, the group stages came to an end, leaving eight armies to battle in the quarter-finals. Four armies emerged victorious from their conflicts. Rebel Penguin Federation, were up against the Nachos, following the drop-out from the Army of Club Penguin. Additionally, the Night Rebels battled against the Golds. RPF and NR won their respective battles, cementing their upcoming clash in the Champions Cup finals.
The finals witnessed two persistent armies battling for glory, resulting in a narrow verdict. Although NR put up a strong fight against the dominant RPF force, they were unable to secure their victory. Following the close battle, the judges had a vote of 2-1 towards RPF’s victory. Here is what the CPAC battle result states:
As expected, this battle was a close one. The Night Rebels did have the edge in size at the Stadium, but it began to drop off as troops got locked out and the first room change happened. At the Ice Berg, the sizes had evened out, and RPF was picking up the pace with their tactics, changing formations and attacking with bombs rapidly. Here, the momentum of the battle moved to RPF, who would carry it into the final room, the Mine. Although NR fought hard to hold them off, the RPF managed to keep their comeback strong. The judges decided in a 2-1 vote that the winner of the CPAC Champions Cup V is…
The Rebel Penguin Federation
Congratulations to RPF for their victory, and thank you to all armies who participated in this year’s Champions Cup tournament
MULTILOGGING SCANDAL
As the community focused on the results and aftermath of the esteemed tournament, the CPAC admins uncovered a multilogging scheme. Following months of allegations and accusations towards the Doritos of Club Penguin, they were ultimately confirmed on November 27. With five bans from CPAC’s weekly top ten so far in the year, the DCP leadership had always denied the allegations.
Shortly after being fired from DCP leadership, former leader Badboy leaked private chats of the army. He brought forth evidence of himself, alongside leaders Mustapha10x and Trader, multilogging since DCP’s “Golden Generation” of 2015. Badboy shared the list of these Dorito accounts with the CPAC administration. Here is what they included in their report:
Badboy sent me a pastebin with all the penguins that the three of them used, including their usernames and passwords. I decided to test these and I can confirm that all the penguins were orange and were 81 days old. I can also confirm that a stamp adder was used.
Here is the list of the penguins:

November 27 eight years ago was most certainly momentous. The army community demonstrates its action-packed nature by exposing schemes while finals are running. How do you feel about RPF’s victory? Do you think the allegations were dealt with correctly? What do YOU think?
