Last Saturday, the third edition of Double Deck The Halls took place. Teams of two armies each met on Battleground in fierce combat. Let us see who the victors were.
Double Deck The Halls is a tournament yearly held by the Shamrock Bulletin. It is inspired by a championship the Army of Club Penguin held in 2008, known as the Double Team Tournament, where two armies would face another two. Typically, a Small/Medium army is paired with a Major army.
Last Saturday, ACP hosted its third edition, Double Deck The Halls III, where four armies would battle in teams of two. Firstly, there are the Jolly Juggernauts, consisting of the Clovers and their new allies, the Winged Hussars. The other team, Rainbow Reindeers, consisted of the Rebel Penguin Federation and the People’s Imperial Confederation. With both teams out on the battlefield, bringing out their A-game, this was shown to be a tough battle.
ICEBERG – TIE
Room 1 began with the Jolly Juggernauts first entering it, quickly followed by the Rainbow Reindeers. The Reindeers had gone into an X formation while the Jolly Juggernauts formed an Upside down Y. The sizes of both teams were 31-45 in favor of the Juggernauts. Rainbow Reindeers moved out of their X and went into a Plus formation while Jolly Juggernauts surrounded the Iceberg. Jolly Juggernauts had moved first since their top left looked to be sleeping. Then Rainbow Reindeers moved forming an Upside Down V while Jolly Juggernauts made a creative W formation.
The first room had begun with Rainbow Reindeers starting strong causing them to dominate the room. Midway through the battle, Jolly Juggernauts had picked up their pace with their creative formations. Therefore, room one was deemed a tie.

Room 2 was the Stadium, where Jolly Juggernauts fastly went into a Plus formation while Rainbow Reindeers made a Circle. Sizes were 32-42 in favor of Jolly Juggernauts. Jolly Juggernauts moved to an X formation, while Rainbow Reindeers were in a Plus formation. The Jolly Juggernauts had moved, however, Rainbow Reindeers had defended well. Next, the Juggernauts formed a V and Rainbow Reindeers formed a Sideways V. Sizes were now 29-42 still in favor of the Jolly Juggernauts.
During this room, the Jolly Juggernauts were faster, neater, and had better coverage as well as having a bigger size advantage. Jolly Juggernauts win room two!

In the third room, the Rainbow Reindeers entered first and formed a backward L, while Jolly Juggernauts formed an Upside Down T. Rainbow Reindeers were covering the Jolly Juggernauts. Sizes were 32-39 in favor of Jolly Juggernauts, a small advantage compared to the rest of the battle. Next, the Rainbow Reindeers moved out of their formation and made an Upside Down Y while Jolly Juggernauts formed a Triangle, which covered them. The Jolly Juggernauts moved out of their form and made an Arrow, while the Rainbow Reindeers made a V/N formation, as the judges deemed it hard to decipher.
Throughout this room, the Jolly Juggernauts had dominated it since they made neater, larger, and better formations. Thus, the Jolly Juggernauts won room three and the battle!
After an intense battle, both teams performed admirably. Congratulations to the Jolly Juggernauts on their victory! Both teams surely gave a performance to remember. Good work to all armies involved. Who do you think should have won: the Jolly Juggernauts or the Rainbow Reindeers? Will there be a fourth edition? If so, who do you think will come out on top?
