The Bastille Vanguard was formed on November 2, 2024, by former Elite Guardians members Vitorwin, Aucraia, and Seila. This came after the sudden shutdown of their past army following a series of internal conflicts. The Vanguardites quickly made their mark on the army community, with their first event drawing 20 participants. Owing to the major-army size attained, the community looked at this as a signal of a strong start. Moreover, in their first week, they attracted almost 100 members to their Discord server. This greatly reflected both rapid growth and strong community interest.
The Bastille Vanguard’s opening event
During this past September, the Templars faced an unfortunate decline. Thus, they ultimately dropped to small/medium status due to lower activity. Various factors, including members’ real-life commitments, especially academics, contributed to this downturn. Nevertheless, with the recent appointment of new leaders—Caracal Cat, Maguro, Moon, and Mocha—the Templars are now making a steady comeback. They aim to regain major status by revitalizing recruitment and forming new alliances. This strategy supports their goal to restore a strong presence in the community.
The Templars and Bastille Vanguard recently allied, combining their strengths as a means to bolster their influence in the community. Overall, this partnership marks an important new phase as both armies now actively seek to expand their power and resources together. Furthermore, both armies have also recently allied with the Doritos, signaling a strategic shift in the Club Penguin army landscape.
TBV Leader Vitorwin’s announcing the alliance with TCP
To gain insight into the alliance’s motivation, CPA reached out to Templars leader Echo and Bastille Vanguard leader Aucraia for a statement.
Echo: There were a couple of reasons but the main one was that we had an ally in common, DCP, and I thought it would be a great idea to ally with them and close the circle of the alliance. The other reason was that I liked the fact that they were an army mostly tailored to non-english speakers. Lastly I hope that we are able to do many practice battles, exchange ideas, and rise to the top of CPA along TBV and our other allies.
Aucraia: We were reached out to by the TCP leadership for an alliance that could benefit the both of us, and help eachother grow. Additionally, I believe it is interesting to have a three-way alliance (DCP, TBV, TCP) that, again, is beneficial for all involved.
The Templars and Bastille Vanguard alliance represents a new chapter in each army’s history. Additionally, by joining forces, both armies aim to strengthen their positions and achieve shared goals. With their collaboration, alongside the Doritos, they are poised to influence the landscape in many ways. As this alliance develops, the community eagerly awaits its impact on future battles and events. What do you think? How will this new alliance influence the community? Most importantly: will it last?
