After their respective victories in the Small/Medium and Major categories in Blood Bowl, the Hussars and Clovers allied out of the blue. Join us as we explore the happenings of this tournament leading to this conclusion.
The Winged Hussars have recently proven themselves by engaging in several wars. Although ranked as S/M, they are a formidable foe, taking on the Secret Service and the Elite Guardians. It is debatable, however, if this latter war was “serious” as the two armies were classified as allies.
Proving themselves as worthy allies of the Army of Club Penguin was no small feat, with the Hussars facing some tough battles throughout Project Conquest: Blood Bowl. An example was their battle against the Special Weapons and Tactics. In this battle, WH had their largest max of the tournament, 20. Likewise, the ACP did not have it easier either, with their main opposition being the SS. The ACP often obtained maxes well into the 30s and even the 40s, helping solidify their victory.
All of these proceedings finally led to November 5, with the Clovers alongside the Hussars logging on to celebrate at their victory parade, and achieving a max of 49 in the process. This was also combined with the announcement of the aforementioned alliance. Soon after the alliance was also revealed in the Hussars’ discord, and has been welcomed by all. It is evident that this alliance is a result of meticulous scrutiny and engagement from both sides, so watching it unfold will be interesting.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to the leadership of the ACP and WH, respectively, for an exclusive interview about this alliance.
What led you to form this alliance?
Roxy: The Blood Bowl Tournament definitely helped our relations grow stronger as we had placed immense trust on each other. It was risky for both of us considering we weren’t allies at that moment, but at the end of the day we were able to trust each other and it worked out well for both the armies. I really admire their performance in the battlefield and also the values they stand for. The trust and respect we have for each other definitely led us to form this alliance.
Shinzo: The ACP leaders reached out to us and we began talking and cooperating especially in context of the ongoing Project Conquest. Along with that came good understanding of each other’s persons and also armies and it was fun for probably everyone involved in those talks and cooperation. So after some time our leadership had discussed about the probability of an alliance forming and, only a bit later, such proposal came from ACP directly. And of course, we’ve had an overwhealming majority for that decision on the regarding vote.
What do you see for the future of this alliance?
Roxy: Considering the fact that this alliance was formed on the basis of trust, I definitely think the future of our alliance will continue to flourish into something much bigger. I know for a fact that we can rely on WH anytime of the day, and I’m sure they know they can do the same.
Shinzo: We see and hope that it will be a long lasting alliance with a lot of communication and understanding between our armies and our leaders. We believe that our armies are pretty compatible with each other and we can well cooperate. Surely, we can also help each other out with practice battles and advice, as well as future cooperation in many other fields. It’s always great to find more friends and cooperation than enmity. I’m happy that we could form another alliance based on mutual understanding. And we’re sure that this will keep going.
How do you think this alliance will impact your army?
Roxy: This alliance has definitely strengthened our army, as we provided support to each other especially during the tournament. I’m sure that this alliance will positively impact our army. We hold a lot of respect towards WH and I definitely look forward to planning more events with WH as they have wholesome leaders and amazing members who always motivate us to do better.
Shinzo: We’re all sure that it will only impact the Winged Hussars positively. We will surely get a lot of advice and training out of this alliance and we will give back the same. With this new alliance, it’s probable that also our members start interacting with each other, at least a lot more than was previously the case. Together with joint events and battles, there can only be positive development in terms of creating a good and expanding environment for everyone to enjoy and feel good, which should always be the essence here.
In conclusion, this alliance will greatly assist both sides in any upcoming events, and the future looks hopeful for both armies. A fitting ending for the two victors of CPA’s most recent tournament to band together in arms. But what do you think? Will this be a long and prosperous alliance or simply another throwaway piece of diplomacy? Be sure to share your thoughts with us!
