On October 18, two heated battles occurred, one within each category: Small/Medium and Major. As we dive deeper into what happened, community members give their reactions to the battles.
The Project Conquest: Blood Bowl tournament has brought excitement and excellence to the table. In addition, it has provided new army leaders with the experience they need, as it requires tactical and well-picked choices. Moreover, it managed to give opportunities to newly created armies to show their future potential. In that sense, the battle that took place on the 18th of October gave the tourney even more action. Both S/M and Major armies were prepared to fight for their victory. The winning armies would be provided with a superpower that can be used against their opponents.
MAJOR BATTLE
The major battle saw three armies gathering on the battlefield, the Army of Club Penguin, Help Force, and Secret Service. The battle kicked off, and all armies began their fight in the hopes for their army to win. The battle made progress until judges told HF to log off and an overtime room was provided. After a close round, ACP was the army to win the major battle.
S/M BATTLE
The S/M battle saw the Special Weapons and Tactics, and the Winged Hussars battle for the superpower. Spartans, however, did not show up. The battle saw action from both sides. Throughout the whole battle, SWAT saw some mistakes, such as improper formations, lack of speed, and AFK troops. Thus, the Hussars ended up being victorious in a 3-0 sweep. This battle showcased how lively the S/M community can be, as both armies reached high maxes for an army of that classification and presented us with a good show.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to community members to learn their reactions to the clashes.
What was your reaction to the Blood Bowl Brawl for each classification?
S/M
Mare, Chief Executive Producer: For the SM, I thought it was going to be pretty close. I felt as though both WH and SWAT were very similar when it came with size. When the pre-room was happening, I saw SWAT had more size than WH. However, when it come to being in the rooms WH definitely seemed to have use their formations and word tactics as a way to look bigger than how much they were maxing.
MtJordan, Senior Reporter: In my opinion, both SWAT and WH had impressive sizes, but SWAT’s performance and formations were poor. On the other hand, WH had adapted this quality which they easily won the battle. SWAT could be doing better if they just push themselves more and can manage properly.
BestPenguin, Moderator: It was good, WH and swat battle was definitely interesting!!!
Hampter, Water Vikings: Definitely the less interesting out of the two. Calling it a three army battle is already a big mistake since Spartans weren’t even there. Even then WH-SWAT was a big snoozefest with WH outclassing SWAT in every aspect and just overall being a very one sided battle. 4/10 would not rewatch.
Scars, Scars of CP Leader: I think the battle was a little underwhelming considering Spartans didn’t show. I really do think if all armies were at the best however, it would be much more interesting. The sizes were very close throughout the battle with SWAT and WH and i do think it was competitive. Both sides did great and I am excited to see their rematch soon!
Spotty, Head Judge: It was an interesting concept, however at times it wasn’t executed that well due to the game having issues and disconnecting people frequently, and also causing lag. It was nice to see all armies increase in size.
Major
Mare, Chief Executive Producer: Like with SM, I expected the battle to be extremely close. I thought there would definitely be an OT room, as these armies are quite similar in size and share a strong sense of competitiveness in their battles.
MtJordan, Senior Reporter: I appreciated how the armies adapted throughout the fight, keeping things competitive and unpredictable. Overall, it was a well-executed battle that really showcased the strength of the major armies without feeling one-sided.
BestPenguin, Moderator: SS and ACP had the best performance and they had intense match meanwhile HF did pretty great with formations. Overall it was fun to witness all these battles.
Hampter, Water Vikings: Now we’re talking. While it is kinda the same situation with the fact that SS vs ACP vs HF is Godzilla vs King Kong vs Coughing baby but at least SS vs ACP was interesting even coming down to an OT. Its impressive that they came down so close with both of them showing a very good fight and tactics but ultimately ggs to ACP. Oh yeah HF was there too well git gud idk man.
Scars, Scars of CP Leader: The battle was very exciting having SS and ACP with sizes of 30+! Though I do think HF was very left out of the battle since they couldn’t get up to those sizes as well. I do think all armies did great and it was very close, going into OT. It was very competitive between SS and ACP the whole time. I always think their battles are fun to watch as they’re some of the top armies right now!
Spotty, Head Judge: I was surprised HF didn’t max more despite winning Legends Cup recently. I also didn’t expect both ACP and SS to max as high as they did seeing as neither army had that many troops throughout the tournament. I wasn’t surprised it was close though.
What advice would you give to one army from each classification?
Mare, Chief Executive Producer: The best advice I can give is no matter win or loss for all armies in general, it really shows a lot of integrity for armies to show up and try their best in these types of battles. I would say that even if you won, it’s always valuable to look at judges notes that they write and ask them for criticism, even if it may be brutal, this is good way to grow as a leader and help your army be more successful.
MtJordan, Senior Reporter: Troop attendance is crucial. Ensuring that every troop is fully present and that no one is slacking is a tedious task, but if this aspect is lacking, it undermines the foundation of the army. Maintaining leadership qualities is also essential, and there is no room for laziness at any time. This especially applies to SWAT, as they have the potential to achieve this, but I feel they can improve further.
BestPenguin, Moderator: I think all of them were good and upto the level. No advice needed.
Hampter, Water Vikings:
Spartans: Shut down. It’s not worth it.
WH: Keep up the good work, your SM competition is very good and your forms look neat.
SWAT: Max more and learn to not get covered.
ACP: Idk like keep up the good work ig?
SS: Try to bunch less, like idk you fought pretty good.
HF: Honestly I can’t give any advice besides “max more” You did insanely good for your size.
Scars, Scars of CP Leader: I think one thing Spartans can do is show up and something all of the armies can do is troopsteal!
Spotty, Head Judge: Once again I recommend reading summaries, and reaching out to judges to learn what went wrong and how to improve. Also try and make forms that match ur size well, and not forms that make you look smaller.
The Blood Bowl Brawl was certainly an exciting moment in the tournament. Certainly, both armies had a nice opportunity to showcase their power and strategies. Congratulations to the Clovers and to the Hussars! Do you agree with the interviewees’ thoughts?
