August ended less than a week ago as we welcomed in September and waved farewell to the Summer of 2024. During August, many big moments occurred leading to many moments being in consideration for the top five. Approximately 32 moments were in the running to be part of the top five moments of August. This is a great amount, seeing even more moments being considered than there was in July, one of the community’s busiest months. With that being said, let us explore the top five moments of the month.

5. Help Force Win Legends Cup XIV

Written by: Tulip

On August 3, 2024, the Grand Finals of the Legends Cup XIV occurred, seeing the Help Force battle the Rebel Penguin Federation for the second time. Their first meeting, earlier in the tournament, saw the Help Force prevail, making the final battle even more intense. In the first room, Help Force earned the win as their size advantage overpowered the Rebels. In the second room, we saw RPF improve, which resulted in the tie for this room as there still was a massive size difference. RPF used this momentum in the third room and was seen covering HF in their formations and were faster with their tactics. This led to RPF taking the win for this room and an overtime room being declared.

In the overtime room, Help Force took further advantage of the size difference and took back control. Their troops were active and alert, making the army look larger. Ultimately, Help Force won this room and achieved the Legends Cup XIV trophy for the first time in their history.

4. Help Force Remove Leader After Allegations

Written by: MtJordan II

After Help Force defeated the People’s Imperial Confederation 5-0–0 on August 18, they were soon overtaken by a new war when the Templars declared war on them nearly immediately after PIC surrendered. This sudden change in emphasis brought attention to the unrest inside the Help Force, which was made worse by personal problems surrounding ROOBOO, one of its leaders.

Ayan, the creator of Help Force, released a public statement on August 20, 2021, responding to the growing worries regarding ROOBOO. He stated that considering the lack of proof and intricate legal issues, their initial response in 2021 had been insufficient. Understandably, the community was unhappy with how the accusations against ROOBOO had been handled. The following day, Ayan made a dramatic and contentious change in the organization’s handling of internal matters when he removed ROOBOO from his leadership position and imposed a permanent ban.

#2 Mei Couped From Water Vikings Leadership

Written by: Snork

On August 10, following the Water Vikings‘ return after their lockdown, former leader Aaronstone announced the removal of Mei from the army’s leadership. Before their removal, the Vikings’ High Council investigated Mei’s and their actions for treason, failure to uphold responsibilities, and the breakage of their Public Displays of Affection rule. Another announcement was made on August 13, and a post was made on WV’s website on August 18 with more context. The post addressed the allegations made against Mei and her partner Johnathan which came to light after her removal.

Shortly after leaving WV, Mei moved to the Help Force. This was brought up in the Templars’ war declaration against the Helpers on August 18. Currently, Mei is no longer present in the HF server, and her future in armies is unclear.

1. Centenary Solstice War Ends After 104 Battles; ACP Force Treaties EGCP

Written by Spin

The Centenary Solstice War has culminated. Taking place between the Army of Club Penguin and Elite Guardians, the war was arguably one of the longest in the CPPS era in terms of the number of battles, running 104 battles. It ended in triumph for the Clovers, with the war score of 64-1-39 (W-T-L). The war began on July 29, following a war declaration by the Guardians. Despite the war going towards the Guardians initially, the Army of Club Penguin managed to make a comeback, and following a series of land invasions, the Clovers managed to invade the Guardian’s Capital (Zero Grau) on August 30.

A force treaty was imposed on the Guardians by the Clovers following this successful invasion, prohibiting any hostilities between the two armies. Despite the temporary break in hostilities, considering the numerous wars the two armies have fought since the Guardians’ revival last year, we might see the two armies competing in a war again. How do you think this treaty impacts the relations between both armies? Do you think the relationship between both armies will improve? Do you think both of the armies will end up in a war again in the future?

Undoubtedly, August has been one of the busiest, most controversial yet memorable months in 2024. Yet, as we move into September the community continues to see wars, scandals and retirements take place. Despite all the moments people may want to forget, many will be remembered for years to come. With that being said, what were your top five moments of August? Do you agree with the top five moments, chosen by the Club Penguin Armies staff team? Will September provide even more moments?
