After a week full of heated battles, a quite unexpected conflict between Helpers and Knights met its end. Today, we will learn the circumstances that led to the somewhat premature conclusion of this war.
It all began on a fateful Sunday. On August 18, the Templars issued a war declaration against the Help Force, right after they signed a treaty with the People’s Imperial Confederation. In the war post, the Empire of Templaria expressed disgust at the Helpers’ conduct, openly stating that they “behave like vultures and prey only on the vulnerable”. They referred to the Help Force’s decision to declare war on PIC, a new Major Army.
And so the War of Second Helping, as Templars’ Empress Sidie9 coined, started. A total of 15 battles took place over the course of the last week. Ultimately, the war score favored the Templars: 8-0-7 [W-T-L]. This war was certainly closer than expected, given this was only the second war HF participated in after three years of constant neutrality.
Only a few hours ago, both armies sat down at the negotiation table and managed to work on a peace treaty. Dubbed as The Jerusalem-Zipline Treaty. Even though the treaty does not mention any war score nor recognize an official victor, both armies are free to claim victory in their own way. Furthermore, all land conquered during the war was returned to its original owner.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to representatives from both armies to further understand this sudden ending. We asked them to provide an open statement about the conclusion of the conflict.
BEASTO, Help Force Leader: It was a hard fought war despite it being short, however we did learn a lot about our strength and where we could improve. Obviously we were ready to go for long, but since TCP approached us and School is starting for many people, I think its most suitable that we give people their time to organize their real life schedule before we get back to the grind for battles and Tournaments!
Echo, Templars Leader: I personally would’ve liked to continue the war. However I also understood why we decided on a peace treaty. It was a relatively fun war (putting the allegations aside) and I got closer to my staff so that is a plus. Just like every war TCP engages in it simply makes us stronger and gives us fuel to keep on marching ahead.
Although TCP’s statement was kind of vague, the Help Force’s words reveal much more. From these excerpts, we can infer that it was TCP that approached HF to sign a treaty. Fortunately, the Help Force accepted their offer – and so the relatively short-lived HF-TCP conflict met its conclusion. What were your thoughts on this war? Who would have won the war if the conflict was still ongoing? Will we see both armies facing each other again? Only time shall tell.
