Information & Rules

The fourth edition of Beach Brawl is set to take place next weekend on Saturday, August 31. In order for the tournament to run smoothly, we are putting the following rules in place. They are based on the previous tournament’s rules:

  • Reviews will be allowed and conducted by unaffiliated (to the battle) Head Judges.
  • Just like in the previous tournaments, there have been deadlines set in regard to the review process:
    • Leaders cannot request a review after three hours from the summary being posted, and they cannot submit evidence more than 21 hours after requesting a review (videos should be submitted as soon as possible).
    • Head Judges must inform both armies about the review, and if it is going ahead as soon as possible.
    • The deadline for the Head Judges to review the battle will be 24 hours after the evidence deadline.
  • Dual enlistment is not allowed, and individuals may only attend for one army. They must stick with that army for the duration of the tournament.
  • The judging will be undertaken by Club Penguin Army Judges and organized by the Head Judges.
  • All armies have a right to veto one judge. Once an army has vetoed one judge, it cannot decline any more for that battle. Vetoes cannot occur past the four hour mark, and the Head Judges can not be vetoed per judging guidelines.
  • Judges will be announced well in advance.
  • The battle will have three judges to five judges.
  • Due to an insufficient number of judges, all wars and invasions will be paused on Saturday, August 31 regardless of classification.
  • Anybody banned from CPBattleground cannot participate in tournament battles (including but not limited to attending on alts, leading from Discord or other third-party websites, etc.) If found guilty of violating this rule by administrator discretion, the army they are involved with will be disqualified.
    • In order to avoid color clashes in battles, the Head Judges have requested that armies wear the differing colors for the battles that may have a clash in color during the tournament.
    • No costumes are allowed to be worn at any point during the tournament.

Participating Armies

Six small-medium armies will be going head-to-head on the day. They are:

Blizzard Battalion

Scars of CP

Spartans

Special Weapons and Tactics

Water Vikings

Winged Hussars

How The touranment will Work

There will be two rooms, with three armies assigned to each. Two randomized seedings will be sent to the Head Judges to organize with the judges for each room. If two armies tie in the scoring system at the end of Room 3, they will move to an overtime room where the final winner of Beach Brawl IV will be determined.

Example of Seedings:

Room 1:
Berg – Army A, Army B, Army C
Docks – Army D , Army E, Army F

Room 2:
Inside Mine – Army D, Army B, Army E
Cove – Army A, Army C, Army F

Room 3:
Beach – Army A, Army E, Army C
Forest – Army B, Army F, Army D

Score System:

1st place – 3 points
2nd place – 1 point
3rd place – 0 points

We would like to take this moment to thank Master DS once again, who provided us with amazing graphics for the tournament. Additionally, we are grateful for CPAJ’s support and their supervision of the tournament. Which army do you think will be crowned the Beach Brawl champions?
