From the thumbnail image of this article to the emojis in your Discord servers, artists spend their time and effort creating beautiful pieces to show the world. These art pieces come in many forms, and Club Penguin Armies plans to show you a few today by interviewing our talented community artists.
Within the community, many individuals are exceptionally talented in art. Art holds great value, not only in the army community, where it plays a key role in designing graphics like thumbnails, trophies, and more but also as a powerful form of self-expression, allowing individuals to convey their emotions. One of the great aspects of art is that it includes a wide range of forms, from paintings and music to digital creations and beyond. Today, we will delve deeper into the most talented artists within armies.
TheYeeter
Starting with TheYeeter from the Army of Club Penguin, she is a digital artist with a very cutesy style. Her drawings are simple yet stylish, utilizing bright colors and thick linework. Instead of using flat colors, she colors her illustrations with individual lines, making sure they do not touch the edges—a unique style that allows you to imagine the complete colors yourself. Club Penguin Armies wanted to delve deeper into her work, so we contacted TheYeeter for an interview. This is what she had to say.
How long have you been drawing with your current art style?
Around a month or so. I’ve been on hiatus, so I’ve had the time to look through Pinterest and Instagram to develop my style.
What are your current goals?
1: To be recognized by the community of CPA through art
2: To practice as much as possible. (Especially anatomy)
What is your favorite thing about art?
The mistakes we make along the way. It can be applied to real life and teaches you plenty of lessons.
Do you have anything else you’d like to say?
For those who are reading this, I hope you know what ur doing in ur life because every single day and hours is precious. Spend your time wisely and take care of yourselves.
Sm0lB3ann
Our next talented artist is none other than Sm0lB3ann from the Help Force. Away from armies, she works as a nail tech, painting and decorating her customer’s nails for a living. Since she was a child, Sm0lB3ann has been interested in nail art, her first experience being when she borrowed a jar or two from her sister. She fell in love with the intricacies of the painted designs and decided to make it her career. CPA talked to Sm0lB3ann and asked her more about her experience as a nail tech.
What got you interested in nail tech work?
I became interested in becoming one when I painted some designs on my friend and she really liked them! That’s when I knew I wanted to learn more and develop my skill.
Do you sell custom press-on nail sets? If so, which holidays/events are they most bought for?
I don’t sell press-on nails, but I do work out of my house as a private nail tech and do my friends and family’s nails. Most of my clients prefer hand-painted designs over everything, and my busiest season is from October to December. I do a lot of designs for birthdays and holidays. I have yet to do wedding or quinceanera sets, but I hope to be able to have the chance to do them one day!
What would you say is your favorite thing about being a nail tech?
Honestly, just having the chance to be creative and learn new techniques!
Do you have anything to say to any aspiring artists/nail techs?
1. Don’t beat yourself up when you don’t get something right on the first try, it takes lots of time and practice to get to where you want to be.
2. Be prepared for the physical strain that comes with being a nail tech/artist, make sure to stretch or exercise before or after appointments/designs.
3. Don’t compare yourself to others, learn and grow from your mistakes and failures and take notes from other nails techs/artists.
Rye Bread
Our last artist is Rye Bread who is a leader of the Water Vikings. Outside of her army life, she works as a barista, serving coffee and pastries to her customers. With every mug she hands her patrons, an image created out of milk is swirled into the coffee. Rye Bread is a latte artist who creates charming shapes like tulips and hearts in the upper layer of her drinks. CPA reached out to Rye Bread for more information on her current aspirations and goals; here is what she had to say.
Do you do the latte art in your free time, or do you do it on the coffee you serve?
I try to do it on all of my lattes bc it’s good practice, so yeah it’s when I’m serving people coffee.
Do you have a goal in mind, or are you doing it for fun?
My ultimate goal is to compete in Barista Competitions and hopefully become a Barista Champion. When I started making coffee it was for fun, and I started getting a lot of compliments on my drinks, not just how they looked but how they tasted too. It was a huge boost of confidence and because of that I’m still making coffee today and don’t plan on stopping.
Can you tell me more about the Barista competitions?
There are many types of Barista competitions around the world, all very interesting, but the World Barista Championship is the biggest one. If you get entered, you will have time to create three drinks. Espresso, espresso and milk (latte), and a signature drink. You’re explaining the drink, where it comes from, what milk you’re using, and whatever other elements you may add. It requires an incredible amount of multitasking.
Do you have anything to say to anybody who’s an aspiring artist/latte artist?
For latte artists, milk texture is key! Pour with confidence and go with the flow. Feel free to reach out to me because I’m always down to talk about coffee. For all artists, you’re all amazing, and keep up the great work! <333
Art is a wonderful form of self-expression that requires significant time and practice to master. However, some individuals are naturally gifted in art. We would like to thank TheYeeter, Sm0lB3ann, and Ryebread for showcasing their amazing work. Within the CPA community, it’s important to recognize artists, as they create so many incredible pieces that keep our community thriving. What do you think of the art featured above? Do you have a particular talent for creating any specific type of art?
