KLONDIKE, CP Armies HQ – Within this week’s edition of “Forgotten Gems”, we’re going to be taking a look at a rather mysterious army. Forgotten by most, and having no single creator to name; the Silver Surfers had an interesting history.
Many of us are familiar with the silver surfboard; a secret item within most CP-era games. When this item originally came out in August 2007, people began to wear it and formed a small group at the Mammoth Dojo. At first, there was no set leader, therefore someone had to step up. That person was CPA Legend Omega39. Being the first real organizer of the Surfers, Omega39 is credited as the first Silver Surfers leader.
Shortly following their creation, the Silver Surfers went to war with the Army of Club Penguin. Sparked by the recent attacks against the Clovers, they were not sure if the Surfers were ‘evil’ or not. ACP won the war, but the Silver Surfers gained popularity within the community. A few months later, the Surfers and Clovers clashed again, this time with an undetermined victor.

Following Omega39’s retirement in early 2008, the army shut down. It’s still uncertain exactly when, but sometime in Spring 2009, a second-generation was created. The leaders were Ganger90, Hattrick, and Saiyaman Xc. However, there’s not many records of this generation.

On July 24th, 2009, Omega39 returned to lead the army. Soon following his return, the Surfers joined a multi-army battle. Teaming up with the Rebel Penguin Federation and Watex Warriors, they formed an alliance against the Ice Warriors, Dark Warriors, and Roman Fire Warriors. This would be the main focus of this generation, as nine days later the army merged into the United Ghost Army.
Throughout the next few years, the army would open and close many times. A revival in 2010 that only lasted a few months. In 2015, and 2016, a brief revival that wouldn’t see the same amount of participants as years prior. Since 2016, the army has yet to re-appear. Not for the closure of Club Penguin, nor here in the CPPS era.

Silver Surfers is such a dope name. Always thought this army would thrive in cpps era armies, but glad no one has tried to steal its perms.
